Paperwork and Scheduling

I’ve just finished creating a detailed rehearsal schedule through mid-February.  Believe it or not, that is the most difficult part of my job.  I have to sort through the many rehearsal conflicts from approximately 50 cast members (thanks to Donna and Sarah for inputting the conflicts all onto one calendar for me) and then weigh that against further conflicting factors such as size and availability of rehearsal space each night, availability of the accompanists; the long, long list of work to be done; and allowance of rehearsal time for review.  Now we’ll just have to do our best to ensure that all goes according to the plan.

Of course the scheduling isn’t over.  By mid-February we should have just completed the staging of Act I.  Then we’ll have the rest of February and the first half of March to stage Act II and whip the whole unwieldy beast into shape.  I’ll get to work on that schedule soon.
