We ran the entire show today…. and it was good. Not perfect, but very good. It’s great to see individual actors settling into their roles and really starting to let their performances blossom. It’s also good to see the ensemble pulling together toward a strong, unified performance.
We still have some work to do on many aspects of the production, but all in all we’re in great shape. The show is there, it is solid, and it is good. Now we have to get to a point of 100% energy from 100% of the cast 100% of the time. In our final week of rehearsals before moving into the theater, we’ll continue to concentrate on unison movement and focused energy; as well as performance quality and clarity of action.
Tomorrow some of us will perform at the Chapel Hill Senior Center and some of us will put in another day of work on the set. Individually others will be working on costumes and props. And the push toward opening night continues.
